- Thousand Islands
- Bio Dome
- Notre-Dame Basilica
l Starting off in the morning, we will reach the first stop of this trip ¨C the first capital of Canada, Kingston. There is a list of intriguing attractions for us to visit: the City Hall, the lighthouse of the 18th Century style, the oldest locomotive which had once been used to run across Canada, the Royal Military College of Canada, the Queen's University which was ranked among the top 100 internationally and the residence of the first Canadian Prime Minister. Then the next stop will be the Thousand Islands (this program will be cancelled in winter). Here, we will experience the charm of the lake and islands, which is one of the Three Natural Wonders in Canada, by taking the cruise on St. Lawrence River and seeing the unique beauty of the opulent millions-dollar Boldt Castle on Heart Island, the shortest international bridge in the world between the Zavikon Islands, and the Island of Mother-In-Law, etc. Having left the Thousand Islands, we will arrive at the Olympic Park in Montreal. This venue had hosted the 1976 Olympic Games. We will ride in a double-deck cable car up to the observatory of the world's highest inclined tower for an eye¨Cpopping view of Montreal. Thereafter we will visit the Bio Dome which has been renovated from a stadium and now displays the ecological system on earth. You can see many precious and rare species from around the world such as the giant Capybara, the tiny Golden Lion Tamari, the colorful but poisonous frog, the invaluable Asian Arowana, also the bats in a cave and the penguins on icebergs. This visit is a real eye-opener! After dinner, we will stay at the hotel in the city. You may enjoy the night-life of Montreal at your leisure around the corners of St. Catherine Street, or in the French style bars, night-clubs and even the grand casino.
Day 2 Montreal - Quebec City - Montreal
After breakfast, we will visit Saint Joseph's Oratory, the largest of its kind in North America. This church was founded by Brother Andr¨¦ who was famous for the most miracles reported in his age. Then we will get to the peak of the city, the Mount Royal. At that point, we can have a panoramic view of the whole Montreal. Hereafter we will visit the Notre-Dame Basilica which resembles the Notre Dame in Paris, France. This is one of the oldest cathedrals in North America with its marvelous architecture. Later we will arrive at Quebec City, the capital city of the Quebec Province after lunch. Quebec City has a large population of francophones. As a battlefield of Anglo-French Colonial Wars, this city is the only remaining fortified walled city in North America. You can feel the romantic ambience of Europe in the surroundings of great wall, cannons, chariots, statue square, art gallery, and other elements all mingled into a beautiful picture before your eyes. By enjoying a French cuisine in a typical French restaurant, you can embrace the romance and mood of Quebec, the little Paris in North America.
Day 3 Montreal - Ottawa - Toronto
Having packed your baggage and having left the hotel, we will be heading to Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. There we will visit Sussex Drive where a number of embassies are housed, and then Rideau Hall, Parliament Hill, and the Royal Canadian Mint. We will also visit the Canadian Museum of Civilization to learn more about Canadian culture and its history. We will get home in Toronto sometime in the evening.
